SOAR Anchorage Chapter is excited to launch our Christmas fundraiser to bring a sliver of happiness for one of our neediest fallen soldier families. The family has urgent needs and without government assistance, this family desperately needs of our help!
The Fundraiser will run until January 7th.
Family of Fallen Soldier Gevorg Darbinyan
Gevorg sustained injuries during the war which may have resulted in the heart attack he suffered after returning home. The government has refused to pay the family the monthly stipend since he died after the war was over. His wife, Hripsime, has suffered two strokes and her left hand no longer functions properly. Gevorg also left behind six children: four sons: Mikayel (now 16), Rozi (now 14), Makich (now 9), and Dro (now 5), and two daughters: Satenik (now 15) and Mariam (now 10). Hripsime is unable to work since her strokes and needs help to care for her six children. The family is living in the City of Masis in the Ararat Region.
