UPDATE JANUARY 2024

Hello Dear our Soar Foundation, Dear Susan, Dear George and Dear Hagop, seeing all the best that is happening to my daughter, I always thank you first of all for the fact, that my girl is now going to school and is starting to walk better and easier every day.

She goes to school on her own, I don't stay with her. It's all thanks to your help, thanks from our whole family.
Now we are not stopping and are constantly working to achieve even greater success🙏
Kind regards, Naira Ayvazyan

Dear Soar, Dear George, Susan, Hagop, we did our surgery, everything went well.

Angelina feels great and even dances the day after the operation.

Thank you again so much for giving my daughter a chance for a bright future🙏❤️. Our family THANKS you from the bottom of their hearts 🙏

I will always send you Angelina's videos and share our successes with you🙏

In 2022, SOAR held an emergency campaign for Angelina Petrosian's life altering selective dorsal rhizotomy (SDR) procedure. SDR is a neurosurgical procedure that selectively destroys problematic nerve roots in the spinal cord to allow patients that suffered brain hypoxia during childbirth and cannot walk on their own, such as Angelina, to walk independently.

LEARN MORE ABOUT ANGELINA ON HER ORIGINAL CAMPAIGN

Angelina had successful surgery on November 2, 2022. We just learned that Angelina needs a second surgery.
The operation is called SPML and will be performed in Summit, New Jersey, by Dr. Roy M. Nuzzo, the creator of this method. The selective percutaneous myofascial lengthening (SPML) surgical procedure is a minimally invasive method designed to improve ambulation by lengthening contracted musculoskeletal tissues.

Because Angelina's legs were spastic until the age of 7, her left leg developed poorly, so Angelina developed asymmetry of the legs.
This problem worsened after the SDR operation, which prevents Angelina from standing on her own.

The operation is scheduled for September 12, 2023. The family put down a deposit of $1,000, but they still need another $20,145!
