For the eighth consecutive year, the Armenian Autism Parents Support Network (AAPSN) and the Society for Orphaned Armenian Relief (SOAR) are partnering together to raise crucial funds for the Erazanki Tun (House of Dreams) Center located in Artashat, Armenia.

Established in 2019 in Artashat, the Erazanki Tun Center is a nonprofit daycare center for children with special needs. Thanks to your generosity, AAPSN raised $2,100 in 2019 to help establish the Center and $1,775 in 2020 to fund the purchase of a heater/air conditioner unit, utility payments, teacher fees, and tuition for needy students. In 2021, $5810 was raised to fund: repairs/renovations to the parents waiting room, new physical therapy room, and restroom; purchasing tables, chairs, a storage closet, kitchenware, lamination equipment, and physical therapy equipment; and tuition for ten students from low-income, single parent, and large families, including two families from Artsakh. In 2022, $6,129 was raised, 2023, $3,700 was raised to cover tuition for low-income families as well as single moms, equipment and developmental games were purchased, and security cameras were installed on the premises. 2024, $2,270 was raised to cover tuition for low-income families, and last year $6,523.88 was raised to build an indoor climbing area. In 2026 we have a VERY ROBUST GOAL of $400,000!

Below is the proposal:

“House of Dreams” NGO restorative therapy center. Initiator – Tatev Mehrabyan , Director of “House of Dreams” NGO. Location Ararat Province, Town of Artashat. Duration of proposed funding program 2025 2026. Main objective iss to build a modern therapy center with swimming pool to provide therapeutic services for special needs children with an aquatic therapy department. The center will serve Ararat and surrounding provinces special needs children’s population. Basis for the project is that such a modern facility providing complete special need therapy services including aquatics component, does not exist in the region currently. Majority of children are not able to take advantage of such services due to transportation or financial barriers. “House of Dreams” has been actively and effectively carrying out their activities for the last 6 years and has been able to help hundreds of families. The center also has a very important role in creating employment opportunities and inclusive environment in the community.

Main components of the project. 1. Building the main structure of the center and furnishing it as well as conforming to all safety requirements. Ramps, elevator, handicapped accessible bathrooms, therapy rooms, group therapy rooms, observation room. 2. Creation of aquatic therapy department. Systems for cleaning and keeping the pool water warm as well as specialized therapy equipment. 3. Furnishing of specialist therapy offices and obtaining adequate technical inventory and equipment such as therapy devices as well as diagnostic tools and supplies for speech therapy, psychological therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy and adaptive physical education. 4. Continuing education of therapists, professional development, training, certification programs, collaboration with local and international specialists. 

Initial budget. Project estimated costs.

1. Building of the center main structure (see below) – 80,000,000 AMD

2. Aquatics department, equipment, heating. 25,000,000 AMD

3. Furnishings and equipment of therapy rooms. 15,000,000 AMD

4. Training and continuing education. 5,000,000 AMD

5. Project management costs and documentation costs, building permitting 5,000,000 AMD

Total cost 130,000,000 AMD

 

Expected results. A new fully equipped modern therapy center in Ararat Region. Minimum of 150 children per year will be able to receive complete therapy services. 10-12 new employment opportunities for specialists. Community involvement and increase of social responsibility in the region.

We request financial assistance to be able to execute this project. Financial assistance and fundraising assistance can be in full or partial in collaboration and conjunction with other organizations. We are ready to present the entire technical documentation package, budget details as well as principles of future collaboration.
