Family Situation: Sevak with his wife Nona and three children had been living in Stepanakert in their own house. Sevak was a police inspector for more than 20 years. On September 25, 2023, Sevak with eldest son Samvel, then 14 years old, went to buy fuel for the car in order to safely move the family to Armenia. There was an explosion at the gas station in Stepanakert, Sevak and Samvel were both killed. Nona and her two other children, Gari (DOB 9/18/2011) and Lia (DOB 5/20/2022) were forcibly removed from their home. Currently Nona with her two children and mother are staying at her Nona's sister’s apartment but are unsure about their future. They are looking for a house to rent, but they don’t know how they will be able to pay for it.
