Family History: Marcel was born in Sevan and, until the age of 1, lived with his family. Because his father is unemployed, however, it was difficult for the family to take care of him. In June 2006, Marcel was placed in Children’s Home of Gyumri. In April 2013, he moved to Kharberd. His family loves him and keeps in touch with him through the help of the orphanage staff.

Medical History: Marcel suffers from cerebral palsy and severe mental retardation.

Special Interests: Marcel is a very cheerful boy but has few interests because of his health condition. He watches cartoons, likes to color, and enjoys computer classes and animals. He has problems with speech and communicates primarily through facial expressions.

Immediate Needs: Sponsorship funds will be used to purchase an adapted wheelchair, an adapted toilet seat with wheels, and a bath chair. Marcel’s wheelchair specifications have already been obtained.
