Family Situation: Harutyun gave his life while serving during the 2020 Artsakh War. He had served for 15 years in one of the military units in Artsakh as the head of the communication hub, with the rank of non-commissioned officer. He leaves behind his wife, Lilit; his mother, Gayane; and three children: Karapet (14), Elen (12), and Davit (6). Lilit moved to Yerevan with the youngest son, Davit, and the two older children are in the care of Harutyun's mother. Gayane, Karapet, and Elen currently live in Echmiatsin with five other family members. Karapet had surgery on his eyes and still needs another surgery. He attends Math classes, and Elen attends Math and English classes.
