Family Situation: Hayk gave his life on September 20, 2023, while serving during defensive activities in the most recent Artsakh War. Within days of his death, his family was forced to leave their home and all their belongings behind. Hayk's wife, Alvard, and his four children: Astghik (DOB 10/21/2009), Vardan (DOB 12/13/2011), Vera, (DOB 3/14/2015), Angelina (DOB 3/3/2018), along with both of Hayk's parents are now living in the Village of Mkhchyan near Artashat in a rented three-room apartment. Alvard had taken courses in tailoring and wants to find work to help support the family. She was experiencing health problems and has been in Yerevan, at the MC "Astghik" with a diagnosis of a hernia. Their daughter Vera has been disabled since childhood. She has weakness in her left leg, wears an orthosis, and limps due to an issue with her tendons. The doctors have said she will need an operation, but they need to wait until she is 21-years-old.
