Family Situation: Vahe Karamyan was killed in October while heroically serving on the front line for Artsakh. His wife, Shushan, was giving birth to their third child in Yerevan when she learned of his death. She rushed to Sisian for her husband's funeral service and was tragically killed in a car accident on her way there. The newborn baby was still in the hospital at this time, and their four-year-old daughter and two-year-old son were in the care of grandparents. ***July 2022 The daughter will go to a private school this September. The eldest son goes to kindergarten. The youngest son is now 1.5 years old and Vahe’s mother and sister take care of him.
