Family History: Hamlet was born in Kapan. He has a twin who does not have the health problems that Hamlet has. Hamlet has been in Kharberd Orphanage since 6/26/98. He came to Kharberd from Children’s Home of Gyumri, where he spent his early childhood. He has a mother, father, and two brothers who he rarely sees. His father has been in Russia for many years, and Hamlet does not remember his face. While his father was in Russia, Hamlet’s mother went to Kharabagh to live with his parents. They had many family problems, so she returned to Kapan to live with her parents. Hamlet loves his mother too much and hopes that one day his mother will take him home. But she cannot take him home as she is going to Russia to be with her husband. Hamlet’s relatives have persuaded his mother to forget about Hamlet as he is known as the “misfortune” of their family.

Medical History: Hamlet suffers from a CNS disorder, cerebral palsy, and mental retardation.

Special Interests: Hamlet is interested in embroidery and ceramics. He likes to make shoes.Hamlet is a kind, sociable, communicative, friendly, intelligent and modest boy. He attends school classes, is literate, able to write proportionately and beautifully. Hamlet reads texts and is able to memorize.

UPDATE - October 2022

Hamlet still participates in the classes of the "Chakhruk" ethno-music group. Currently his fingers are more flexible, he controls his breath skillfully. He loves to play new melodies. Hamlet also participated in the ''Chakhruk'' festival and gave a solo performance. Besides music, Hamlet acquired new skills during classes at the wood workshop. He is able to draw the necessary image; paint the already cut shapes and brings them to a final result.

UPDATE - JUNE 2022

Hamlet is involved in the ''Chakhruk'' ethno-music project as a musician and learned to play the duduk. He participates in international and local music festivals for people with special needs. Hamlet loves sports and he took place in para-rafting championship.
