Family History: There is no information on his family history. Vardan speaks a few words but mostly uses sounds to communicate and is able to make clear his needs and desires. He understands and follows simple instructions. Vardan had almost no self service skills at the time of admission to the orphanage, but over time there has been positive improvement. Vardan learned to walk on his own, but he is careful and walks only by holding a companion's hand. He has also learned to eat on his own. In the orphanage, he receives rehabilitation and physiotherapy services, sometimes he takes part of group games.

Medical History: Vardan has Down Syndrome, severe mental underdevelopment, enuresis, encopresis

Special Interests: He likes to listen to music, to dance and is indifferent to toys. He loves to walk in the garden with staff members and to participate in fun activities both at the orphanage and when activities are organized outside.
